WELCOME E-D GOLF TOUR HAMPTON ROADS

ln 2009, the E-D Golf Tour set its first official board of directors electing J.R. Locke as President and Donville Morse as Vice President. It was no more just the Commish running the show single - handedly. The E-D Golf Tour had already started handing out season ending awards to its members in 2004, but held its first "real" sit down banquet in 2006. In the same year, the tour solidified as annual awards "Player of the Year", "Iron Man", "Low Gross Rounds of the Year", and "The Commissioners Award".

The stated mission for developing this organization, the E-D Golf Tour, was not only to play organized golf, but it was also about scholarship and benevolence. Through golf and a future 501c(3) designation, the members wanted to put funds and resources back into their communities in which they worked and lived. In addition, provide scholarship opportunities to aspiring young golfers around the Hampton Roads area. To date, the E-D Golf Tour has sponsored thousands of dollars into several low-income communities unbeknown to recipients at Christmas from where the benevolence came.

The E-D Golf Tour has sponsored a local junior golfer to a large junior golf tournament in Florida

and the E-D Golf Tour has supported other organizations via sponsorship funds benefiting scholarship to high school athletes. The E-D Golf Tour mission . .
Golf, Scholarship and Benevolence . . is on the move and in many ways .. just beginning.
So, what started as two guys getting together weekly just to maintain contact with each other, has grown into an organization of philanthropic men and now women dedicated to the game of golf and the communities in which they work and live. This is the E-D Golf Tour.
